What is Your NAME? Who are YOU?

Some notes. quotes. ideas to reflect on:: 


what is your name? back then your name was more than just words. it was identity. reflective of your being. your character. your name told... who. you. are. 


who are you? 


how much of our pain comes from not knowing how to answer that question..... 


we each have this unique path. unique calling. jesus invites us to be our TRUE selves. 


but we get sidetracked. we get distracted. we get hung up. on how we're different from her. or we're not like him. and we end up asking the wrong questions.... 


we'll never live from our TRUE selves when we're comparing ourselves to those around us. how much life to do we lose when we're endlessly comparing ourselves to others? 


what is YOUR NAME? 


at some deep deep level, we are being asked: who are you?


we all have pasts. families. experiences. mistakes. that have made us who we are. we have to EMBRACE it. CLAIM it. because it's YOURS. only when we can own our own history for what it is. the good. the bad. everything. can we ever begin to answer the question: what is YOUR NAME? 


how could i ever love and embrace someone else, when i've never come to terms with who i am, and then who i'm not... 


when jacob has finished wrestling.... he's struggled. he's been broken. he's done pretending. he's wrestled and overcome. jacob, is ready to be jacob. he's okay with the life God has given him. it is at this point that God then pulls him into his divine DESTINY.

discover your true self. your true path. and in the process, may you find yourself comfortable in your own skin.
