days...threethrougheight.

the days have just been flying by! i wish i was better at updating my daily activities, but alas.. all of our adventures leave me with not very much time to write about life amidst the travels, the conversations, the journaling, and the fun. i must say, this trip has greatly exceeded my expectations. i'm astounded and amazed. both at all the incredible things i have been able to see and explore, but more importantly the transformation and learning experiences the girls and i have experienced thus far. i thought we were close before this trip, we only get closer with each passing adventure, challenge, and lifestory shared. what an incredible journey....

open-top double decker tour bus around belfast and learning all about the city's history... excitement and growing anticipation for the memories to follow. [day three]

picnic at the park. hearing the testimony of a man i admire who grew up during 'the troubles' of belfast... speechless. [day four]

trip to newcastle, ireland - hiking in tollymore forest. seeing the mountains and the ocean in the same city. shopping at flea markets with my girls. writing postcards from a coffeeshop built in wwi.... it was like a dream. [days six]

st. patrick history day... not very exciting after the previous day... not gonna lie [day seven]

working with food banks for the poor in the city. shopping and dinner. movie night.... i want all the more to help people where they need help the most [day eight].

and tomorrow.... is my birthday. i'm finally going to be 21. such a strange feeling. i'm excited and blessed.. so very blessed.
