summer reflections.

so.... haven't blogged in a while and i've been missing it. however, this is the last week of my super busy, full-time internship, and you betcha i am ALREADY preparing for the rest of my REAL summer vacation -- books, pool time, coffee dates, conversations, research. i'm so ready to have those lazy summer days....

lazy summer days = reading books and sipping a glass of something refreshing while soaking up the sun. cannot waaaaait!!

[also, summer recap]:::
ireland was a terrific trip. completely changed my life and gave me friendships and memories i will never forget. i finally went overseas, a dream i have had since i can remember. i went searching for something, and in the end, found myself in northern ireland. i came home with purpose, peace, identity.

my internship with the american red cross disaster services program began the very next day, and has been a learning experience these past 5 weeks. i've learned so much from this organization, from various classes, conversations, and reflections. i got to work with a REAL disaster even, bummer for the flood victims, super cool for me the intern. i've loved it! i've learned so much. i've continued to find myself. and i am leaving with purpose, peace, identity.

as i look towards the future school year, my last year of undergrad (still so weird)... i feel ready. prepared. excited. yes, i know it will be a challenge trying to finish my senior year, while balancing friendships, super hard classes, and preparations for life after jbu... but i feel confident knowing i have so much more direction after an entire summer filled of purpose, peace, identity.

gosh, i have so many stories. so many incredible stories beyond my imagination from this summer. my life is forever changed. and i'm incredibly stoked for the future.
